The C-Tac® Advanced Training Program

The C-Tac Instructor Program gives you both options. You’ll have the opportunity to train in person with Alan 3–4 times per year at no additional cost, while also gaining access to advanced training, systems, and concepts not available in the public curriculum.
You do not have to teach to be part of this program. Many members join strictly for the higher-level training and access. Others join with the goal of implementing and teaching the C-Tac system within their own academy. This program is built to support both paths.

The Founder
Professor Alan Baker is a high-performance coach and an internationally recognized martial arts & self-defense expert. He has over 45 years of continuous experience in the arts. He has been training continuously in the fitness and Martial Arts field since 1981 and has been teaching professionally since 1990. Baker founded the Civilian Tactical Training Association in 2015 and continues establishing C-Tac® instructors today.
In the course of his career, he has attained the level of black belt or higher in multiple disciplines of martial arts as well as numerous instructor-level certifications in other systems under some of the industry’s most renowned teachers such as Tuhon Dan Inosanto, Master Pedro Sauer, Sifu Francis Fong, Master Erik Paulson, Ajarn Chai Sirisute, Ajarn Greg Nelson, Tuhon Tim Waid, and Coach Justo Dieguez.
In the tactical training field, Sifu Baker has taught countermeasures, defensive tactics, firearms, and edged-weapon programs to Fortune 500 corporate security teams and law enforcement/SWAT teams throughout the United States. He has been privileged to work with and design training programs for the Department of Defense and other specialized government and military organizations.
Sifu Baker is a certified Personal Protection Specialist and the Defensive Tactics Instructor for The Executive Protection Institute in Clarke County, Virginia. Alan also teaches a specialized defensive tactics program, called Vehicle Centric Defensive Tactics, for the Vehicle Dynamics Institute in New Jersey. VDI & EPI are considered the top schools for teaching Executive Protection (Bodyguards) and tactical / security driving globally.
The C-Tac Tactical Training Partners Program
The tactical training partners program gives you the affiliate access to some of the industry’s top training instructors and facilities throughout the United States. Throughout the year, we will pick events that we will attend with our training partners. These events will be open to anyone in the association and allow all attendees to train at an advanced level with these premier training facilities. Frequently Asked Questions
Are The Instructor Camps Included in the Association Dues?
YES – The instructor camps are part of the package, so you do not have to pay more to attend them. All you have to do is get yourself there. Also, the online video university includes all the required materials to get the program started and basic marketing materials.
Is There A Cost For Instructor Testing In The Program?
NO – All of your testing and advancement as an instructor is taken care of as part of the association dues. Testing and promotion are taken care of at the instructor camps.
if I am new to the program, and I have questions about the curriculum or training is there someone to ask?
YES – Coach Baker, as well as other members of the leadership team, are available to answer questions about curriculum, training, setting up your program in your Academy, or business questions. Are you have to do is reach out, and we are more than happy to help.
Should I Wait Until The Next Camp To Join The Team?
NO – If you join now, you will get access to the online video university and the materials needed to start your training. This will give you a Headstart on the material and allow you to be familiar with the information prior to coming to camp. Also, you can contact the leadership team to answer any questions you have. This will give you a jump on the program.
I Don’t teach at an academy. Can I join the program and study through the video university?
YES – we have quite a few members who are not Professional Martial artists joining the program so they can study the system. If you’re interested in doing this, there are options to progress in rank. Contact Association leadership to discuss your options.
